BODHAYANTI PARASPARAM – VOL 2
Bhagavad Gita itself. They were all inspirational. Significantly, Revered Babuji does not refer to all these three though he must have been aware of it. He must have thought, they were serving a different purpose than that of establishing the importance of Bhagavad Gita and each man has worked out his own theory out of it. This is my guess because there is no mention at all about this. The philosophical perfections that several matacharyas have been able to establish through the Bhagavad Gita is not a matter of importance for us. For a philosopher; for a person who constructs the system, it becomes necessary. For a yogi, for a person who practices the path of spirituality, it makes no sense at all. We do not gain any inspiration spiritually. We get intellectual clarification on many points. This is followed by another commentary by Dr S. Radhakrishnan after independence. I would not like to comment on his motives for that but I can tell you that it is a comprehensive work he has done as a student of philosophy. But if you try to seek any spiritual inspiration from that, you will not find it. He
tries to expound it from several angles. Good work
