Empathy
Sri Ramchandra developed excellent clarity, extraordinary sensitivity and strong will which he exercised to help others in pain. There have been instances of his having helped his school teachers and students.
Once Sri Idris Ahmed, the headmaster of Government High School, Shahjahanpur where Sri Ramchandra was studying, suffered from severe pain of colic. The headmaster was totally restless and groaning* due to pain and requested Sri Ramchandra to help him if he can. Sri Ramchandra caught hold of his thumbs with his hands putting his thumb over his and passed the suggestion that “you are alright now” for a minute. The headmaster felt relief from pain immediately and he went to sleep. Thereafter the head master referred all cases of suffering students in the school to him for relief that they were getting. Such was his will even by then.
Pujya Sri Ramchandraji Maharaj was able to do this because of sympathy and highest level of empathy* for others.
*groaning -making low noises due to pain
*empathy - ability to sense, understand and feel the situation of others
