 or of itself, but which has to be, in order that these consciousnesses can arise or be possible, is what true intuition grants. It is the Reality behind consciousness, which is sustaining this consciousness, but itself cannot be said to be consciousness. Thus, in Yoga, one goes beyond consciousness. The Reality is for itself, and in itself; and that which has to be known and seen and entered into is the Reality.
The subject of psychology thus takes us far beyond the physical, or mental, or even the supramental levels of consciousness, ad it is this branch of consciousness or Reality that is sought to be attained in a true psychology of self.
