The compilation and classification and information relevant in the life of one dedicated to spiritual progress from the enormous awe inspiring material presented by Sri Ramchandraji Maharaj of Shahjahanpur in his volumes of Autobiography is a task that requires a commitment to the work undertaken. Dr. A. Subbarao has done this with persistent effort and dedication to the task and he may well consider himself to be rewarded for this endeavour equitably by the Great Master. This type of work cannot be done unless one has the grace of the Master. Salutations to the Master.
I have been following this system of yoga for over 4 decades now. By His benevolent grace my own sadhana was rewarded by Him by million times over and above my effort in that direction. It was after His physical veiling the Part II of His Autobiography was published. But I did have an inkling of His status and nature of His work in 1979-80 when He bestowed on me that Vision that goes beyond comprehension. The dimension of His development and His arrival to the present condition is the substance of these volumes. How awe some!!!
He has himself written about the various types of Gurus and the best of them was mentioned as Guru Azli Fazli a born Guru. Under this category we have Grand Master Rev. Lalaji Maharaj of Fatehgarh. The most ancient religion of the Vedic times which is based on direct dictations of the Divine or Rta is a gift from such persons. These people and persons like Rev. Lalaji, Sri Ramaksrihna Paramahamsa are such personalities to the best of our knowledge in the modern times. The tradition these persons give are said to originate from Direct Awareness and Dictations. (Nigama). They cannot be touched. They are also called Srutis. Based on these Direct revelations several religious and philosophical traditions are started like Saivisim, Vaishnavism, Vedantic religions and a host of others like Jainism, Buddhism etc., This is called inductive approach or Agama. And the orginators of these systems are persons who were able to construct their Smrti based on these Srutis.
Rev. Babuji Maharaj mentions nothing about His status openly and this much we know He was admittedly trained by the Grand Master, even as Swami Vivekananda by Sri Ramakrishna. So we may conclude that He was not one such as not having Direct knowledge and therefore his system is based on Smrti. And
