However the Guru on seeing the young man said that he already has the marks on his shoulders and he has God's Blessings and did not agree to initiate him saying that it would be Bhagavadapachaara. This made many persons in the family wonder. However, his interest in the philosophy of Sri Ramanuja flared up and he wrote his first book 'Metaphysics of Ramanuja's Sri Bhashya' and got it published in 1928. It was later observed by Sriman D.T.Tatacharya, an acknowledged authority in the tradition of Visistadvaita, that without the grace of Udayavar(Sri Ramanuja), it is impossible to unravel the intricacies of his philosophy as was done in the book.
