Imperience is a word coined by Pujya. Dr. K.C.Varadachari to distinguish it from experience. Experience is a feeling / knowledge that arise due to external / outside inputs. Imperience is the wisdom gained on contemplation on the deep states of non-concentration concentration (Absorbency).

Pujya. Dr. K.C.Varadachari practiced yoga graduating himself from the traditional system of Srivaishnavism, through Sri Aurobindo's Integral Yoga to Sri Ramchandra's System of Rajayoga. Having come to a stage when he was living in Sahaj Samadhi, he found a need to distinguish between "experience" and the "spiritual states of his existence". He felt the inadequacy of the words like Nirvana, Nirvikalpaka Samadhi, etc., to express such states of wisdom and hence coined the word "Imperience".

Our experiences in general, are based on sensory inputs coupled with the memory structures we have developed based on such sensory inputs. However, non sensory, noetic awareness have been reported by sages, saints, mystics and sometimes even common men. The Pranahuti Aided Meditation which forms an integral part of Sri Ramchandra's Rajayoga is perhaps the first known attempt in human history which enables a person who meditates according to the specific instructions to enter the realms of non sensory awareness of Reality.

The first aspect of the procedure is receiving Pranahuti.

The more essential second aspect is when the non sensory direct awareness turns into an authentic interaction with Reality. The wisdom gained during such an interaction is called Imperience. Imperience can happen either during meditation or afterwards during contemplation on such an interaction with Reality. Pranahuti is an aid enabling the meditator to Imperience. Pranahuti itself should not be confused with imperience.

"Imperience" is an Institution of Research and Training in the system of Rajayoga propounded by Sri Ramchandraji Maharaj of Shahjahanpur. Sri Ramchandraji revolutionalized the system of Rajayoga by:

  • Introducing Pranahuti Aided Meditation
  • Developing meditational methods on Specific points in the human frame to achieve mainly control/ moderation in life in general, and over the basic instincts in particular.

So far the practice of Raja Yoga was considered as possible only to renouncers / sanyasins. The Greatest Service of Sri Ramchandraji Maharaj of Shahjahanpur is to have thrown open the system of Rajayoga to the vast humanity irrespective of caste, creed, sex, race and religion. This has become possible because of his discoveries of meditation on points A and B located in the chest region, which help in controlling and moderating Anger and Passion.

The Institute "Imperience" provides training for people interested in learning and practicing this new system of Rajayoga.

In view of the global importance in moderating the expressions of the basic instincts of Anger and Passion the Research work proposed by Imperience finds relevance and importance.

Spiritual research work in this direction has been done earlier by the associates of Sri Ramchandraji Maharaj: Pujya. Eswar Sahai and Pujya. Dr. K.C. Varadachari.

Academic research however has been done on the subject and a few Doctorates in Philosophy were awarded by Universities.

A scientific study of the Principles and Practices of Pranahuti, meditation on points A and B and on the various Psychic Knots located in the human frame is the extent and scope of the studies of this Institute.

Emblem is indicative of the method of meditation on the Heart. Posture is also suggestive of withdrawing the limbs. We do meditate on the Divine light without luminosity in the Heart, where the heart beat is felt. This is not end of the process. The aspirant is advised to contemplate over the feelings had during the meditation so that the aspirant can have Imperience of the feelings.
